Making a professional song is difficult. In the modern production world, we are all expected to be producers, mixing engineers, sound designers, and mastering engineers.

Each part of the production process is its own separate skill that can take a life time to master.

Just because you are a good sound designer, does not mean that you can create a professional song. Yes, you may be able to create a stunning synth sound, but that does not mean that you can write a compelling musical passage with synth and arrange it out. If you are not proficient in other areas of the production process then you will struggle to make a professional song no matter how good of a sound designer you are.

This is the number one reason that you are snuggling to make a professional song right now.  Each part of the production process is its own separate skill that takes a lot of work to become proficient at.  While this may seem obvious, producers still overlook the fact that each part of the production process requires a lot of time and patience.

čĺ¬ACTION TO TAKE

BE PATIENT!!!

Many of you who checked out this video were looking for that magical synth or tip that would all of a sudden make your productions sound professional.

That does not exist.

I am willing to bet that you got into music production because you fell in love with the music that you are trying to create.

You need to let this love for music drive you each and every day to improve.

Nothing worth having comes easy.

You will not become a professional producer overnight.

You will not become a professional producer just because you have been producing for 5 years.

You need to put concentrated and focused effort into improving your craft as often as possible.

That is the key to creating professional sounding productions.

This is not the most glamorous advice, but it is the truth.

Put in the hard work and be patient!
